The Green Corps is a green workforce development program for young adults in the Cincinnati area. They execute a variety of different projects with a diverse range of partners. See below for more information on what the Green Corps does.

Invasive Species Removal

Our Green Corps are experts at removing invasive species; bush honeysuckle, wintercreeper, tree of heaven, and the rest. We conduct all chainsaw and safety training and ensure their herbicide applicator certifications.

Native Plant Propagation

During the late summer, our Green Corps harvests a wide variety of native herbaceous and woody plant seeds. Then, they process and stratify the seeds, and use them later in restoration projects!

Light Up Avondale

In partnership with the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, our Green Corps installs LED light bulbs in homes and businesses throughout Avondale.

Community Orchard Building

Through our partnership with The Common Orchard Project, the Green Corps installs biodynamic orchards in underserved communities.

Green Infrastructure

With certifications from the National Green Infrastructure Certification Program, the Green Corps designs and builds green infrastructure projects with local partners.
